Dublin ladies footballer Lindsay Peat completed a memorable double when captaining DCU Mercy to victory in the Women's Superleague basketball final on Sunday.

Peat, from the Parnells club, was a member of the Dublin side which lifted their first ever All-Ireland senior triumph by trouncing Tyrone last September.

And she was celebrating again on Sunday night when leading DCU Mercy to an impressive victory over Team Hotel Montenotte at the National Basketball Arena.

Lindsay scored the opening two-pointer of the afternoon to put her side on the front foot and they closed out a 61-47 triumph by the finish. Tweet
