Cunningham back in county training after injury

May 09, 2007
Antrim senior footballers got a boost recently ahead of their Ulster SFC clash with Derry when top forward Paddy Cunningham returned to training with the squad. The Lamh Dhearg corner-forward proved himself to be a top-class free-taker during the recent NFL campaign. Cunningham has recovered from a broken hand that he sustained while playing with his club some weeks ago. He took a full part in a training session on Saturday last and also came through a county training session during the week. Antrim boss Jody Gormley is delighted to have Cunningham back playing and he is a real option for the side ahead of their Ulster SFC opener against Derry in Casement Park, Belfast on Sunday, June 3rd next.
