A group of Ballymun Kickhams members were supposed to take part in the Mallorca 312 cycle on April 25th but instead they took part in a Cycle-Athon on static bikes.

All funds raised are for St Clare’s Oncology Ward in Beaumont Hospital.

“This is where our late Chairman, Declan Small, was cared for last year, and in his memory, we would like to raise funds for this ward in order to thank them and show our appreciation for the care and comfort they provided Declan and his family at their time of greatest need,” explained the club in a statement.

An original target of €1,500 was set but it currently sits at nearly €28,000 and you can still contribute here: https://www.ifundraise.ie/5214_cycle-athon-in-memory-of-declan-small--for-st-clare---s-ward-in-beaumont-hospital.html
