Ballymanus Notes

May 20, 2013
The intermediates claimed their opening brace of championship points last weekend, with a good win over neighbours Ballinacor. The lads set a blaze in the opening quarter and were 7pts to no score up at one stage in the opening quarter, which could have been even more had a well saved penalty been converted. Ballinacor notched on three points in the second quarter, matching our return, leaving it 10pts to 3pts at half time. In the second half, Ballinacor to their credit dominated the early stages, landing six points on the trot to leave the bare minimum between both sides. Our lads then ignated again in the final quarter and pulled away again to leave the final scoreline 15pts to 10pts. There is no match as yet fixed for this weekend, given Wicklow are out in the championship in Aughrim on Sunday evening. Finally, there was no lotto jackpot winner for the draw held Monday 13th. The numbers drawn were 5,9,14,19, with 13 managing to get three of the mix.
