The intermediates beat Knockananna in a close encounter in the Gap last weekend. Little separated the sides throughout with Knockananna going in at the break leading 6pts to 5. In the second half, with the wind in our backs we levelled affairs with almost the first attack but couldn't manage to pull away despite some good goal chances. Entering injury time we were 11pts to 8pts up but two quick converted frees left only the minimum between both sides. The final score read 11pts to 10pts. The win sets the lads up well for their second chmpionship outing this weekend when they take on Ballinacor in Aughrim Friday evening. There was no lotto jackpot winner for the draw held Monday May 6th. The numbers drawn were 8,13,16,17 with Nuala Molloy, the Tallon Family, Kieran & Dolores and Cian Keogh all match three winners.
