Match Reports: Bray Emmets U12 girls travelled out to the north side to play their third Dublin league match against Na Dubhghall. Bray started slowly giving away a penalty in the first few minutes and allowing Na Dubhgall first on the score board with a goal. Bray took control of the game with a strong performance from all players showing excellent skill and team spirit. Bray's mid field put in a momentous drive with Laura & Jane Butler tackling & intercepting and Alice & Molly Fitzgerald sending balls forwards where Eve Murphy started the scoring with 3 quick points and caused problems for the defenders winning two penalties and putting 2 goals on Brays score. In the second half Bray continued with the same determination & exceptional play. Na Dubhgall pushed hard right until the final whistle but Bray proved too strong on the day with a fantastic team effort from all of the players making the difference. Well done to Bray Emmets, final score of 3-7 to 2-1.Team: Lauren Healy, Eve Murphy, Shauna Ryan, Laura Butler, Jane Butler, Alice Fitzgerald, Molly Fitzgerald, Ailbhe Byrne, Emily Deveney, Eimear Martin,Grace Browne, and Laura Cahill.

U12 Boys Bray Emmets v Nh Barrog Venue: Pairc Barrog Date: 31/03/2012
Bray Emmets pulled off a smash and grab victory over Naomh Barrog in Kilbarrack on Saturday. The Bray lads were slow to get out of the traps in this one and trailed at the interval 1:02 to 0:0. Great defensive play by Macdara O' Midheach, Matthew Dehanschutter, Sid Hunt and Andrew O'Brien helped limit the Naomh Barrog lead.
The second half sparked into light with an early Bray goal by Cian Lohan followed by a point from the Naomh Barrog lads. A second Bray goal from James Anders followed on from an inspiring period of centre forward domination led by Joe Phelan and Ben Kearney. With the score standing at 2:02 to 2:0 Naomh Barrog began to push forward and exert some pressure on the Bray backline. A loose ball in the Bray defence gifted Naomh Barrog a match winning opportunity only to be denied by a point blank save from Darragh Rochford in the Bray goal. The match looked lost with seconds remaining when Tony Jackson turned the ball into Ronan Mc Mahon who fired on the ground forcing a fine save from the Naomh Barrog goal keeper and from the rebound Jacob Stanley scored the winning goal. Match over! Bray 3:00 Nh Barrog 2:02
The Bray lads can take great credit coming from behind to win this difficult fixture with the last stroke of the game. It demonstrated great determination and a 'never-say-die' attitude. Special mention must go to Sean MacCrabhann, Lochlann Dougan, Tony Jackson, Andrew O Brien and Jacob Stanley who all rose and played indispensible parts in this memorable win.

Bray U12 Camogie: Bray played the second round of the Wicklow mini blitz in Arklow Rocks grounds on Saturday. The Bray girls kept their unbeaten run in Wicklow intact with three fine wins over Arklow Rocks, Carnew and Kilcoole, respectively. Credit must to go the Arklow club for their organisation and management of the day. Well done to all.

The U10 Girls Football team had their first outing of the 2012 season on Saturday. In the opening game, Bray did very well against Naomh Olaf with Amy Butler's accuracy and Úna Smierciak's solid defence being key. In the second game against a very mobile Cuala, Síofra Ní Mhidigh's personal tally of (0-3) from play and Emma Doyle's intelligent reading of the game were the high points for the seasiders. The final game against St Marks saw Orla Jackson stand out, while new players Jodie Gunn and Orla O'Keefe (daughter of Mentor and Senior midfielder Brian) are 2 very fine additions. Táimid ag traenáil gach Luan ag 6.30pm i bPáirc Emmet Bhré.Emmet Bhré U10: Amy Butler (0-1), Emily Cahill, Emma Doyle, Jodie Gunn, Orla Jackson (0-1), Orla O'Keefe, Sarah Lambe (0-2), Síofra Ní Mhidigh (0-4), Úna Smierciak. Bainisteoir - Tomás Ó Midheach.

The under 11 hurlers travelled to Thomas Davis on Saturday morning for the third match of their Dublin campaign. The match was played on astroturf in near windless conditions. Seán McDonagh was the first player from either team to score with a huge point from near half way, Aaron Graham finished off a fine piece of team work with a goal, not to be outdone, Rory Lambe also found the net before half time to leave the score at the break 2-1 to 0-0 in Bray's favour. The second half was a tighter affair, Gavin Henderson scoring 2 points, Rory Lambe (1-1) and David Nesbitt saving his best until last (a well taken goal from distance). The final score was (4-4) to (2-2), Thomas Davis should well have scored more, but the usual excellence of Rian Knox in goal, Michael Timmons and David Maloney in defence ensured that they were held to (2-2). Conor Hardiman operated well in front of the defence with Darragh McCormack making a nuisance of himself disrupting Thomas Davis' midfield.
Emmet Bhré U11: Rian Knox, Michael Timmons, David Maloney, Seán McDonagh (0-1), Conor Hardiman, Gavin Henderson (0-2), Aaron Graham (1-0), Rory Lambe (2-1), David Nesbitt (1-0), Darragh McCormack

24/03/12 Wicklow mini-blitz Bray Emmets. Bray played Kilcoole and Glenealy in Emmet Park on Saturday last in the start of the Wicklow U12 camogie league. In the first match the bray girls fought a determined Kilcoole side to win by a margin of two goals. The second game against Glenealy was a tighter affair which resulted in a draw in a match that could have went any way.

24/03/12 Dublin mini-blitz Bray Emmets. Bray Emmets hosted the final Dublin mini-blitz on Saturday afternoon. Five team took part including Cuala, Naomh Olaf, Naomh Padraig and St Judes. Bray played St Judes in a very competitive match to lose out by a single goal. The second game pitched Bray against Nh Olaf the match went down to the wire with Bray winning by a goal. The final game paired Bray against Cuala in an end to game where both defences were well on top. A fine point from the Cuala No.8 sealed the game for the Dalkey club.
