Sinnott, Mary

The Late Mary Sinnott

The death of Mary Sinnott of Crehelp saddened the entire community of West Wicklow.

Mary was in her 89th year and was the last of eleven siblings of the Burke family of Crough.

She won a Kildare camogie championship with Hollywood in her playing say and what was a time when there was no camogie board in operation in Wicklow.

She was a dedicated GAA supporter all her life, carried a copy of the Leathers Echo with her wherever she went and has the signatures of many of the top players and officials of the county in that book. In recent years she was very proud of her grandsons when they started to play football and hurling for Dunlavin and St Nicholas. Our sympathy to her son Seamus and extended family.
