Glenealy...1-13
County star Jonathan O'Neill opened the scoring for the holders with a pointed free in the first minute, and despite going on to add a further 0-9, he finished on the losing side. At the opposite end, former Railway Cup player Don Hyland bagged 0-8, which ultimately proved decisive.
Bidding to add to the senior football medal he won with Rathnew last weekend, Leighton Glynn netted for Glenealy in the 12th minute, but his side were 1-5 to 0-13 in arrears at the break.
The holders applied strong pressure in the second half, but Carnew stood firm to take the title.
