U15's – Blessington played Aughrim at home on Wed 12 June in the final round of the league. The first half was a close encounter Blessington just ahead a half time. Blessington got the first score of the 2nd half and turned over a number of kick outs to take a good lead and maintained that for the rest of the game. Blessington finished on a score of 8:14. With 4 wins and 2 losses the league went well but some further improvement is needed with championship starting in 2 weeks.

U9’s – On Sat 15 June the U9 boys fielded two teams against strong Naas opposition at home on what was a lovely bright afternoon. Both our teams played really well and managed to keep pace with both Naas teams and at half time there wasn't much between the two teams in both matches. In the third quarter each team had to play with their opposite foot, and this made for some entertaining passes and movements.  However, all teams quickly got into the rhythm of it and managed to get some nice scores. This week it was great to see some good plays which we had worked on in training. The young lads moved the ball quickly and sharply and worked hard with each other to get some wonderful scores. A special mention to Liam Richardson and Fionn Whelan who both scored two of the best scores the coaches have seen on the Blessington pitches. Overall two good matches and two great results against strong Naas opposition.  A special thank you to the U8 players who stepped up to help us this weekend. Next up Ballinakill on Sat 22 June at 11am.
