Ballymanus Club Notes

June 10, 2019

Well done to all involved in the table quiz last weekend in aid of the juveniles. Super night and lots of money raised. Well done also to Mark Kenny who put in a solid shift against Leitrim (it just wasn't to be) and to Callum Mcrae and the rest of the Michael Dwyer u14 hurlers in the Feile last weekend down in Cork. The lads played super and even reached the semi's. The intermediates suffered a 2-8 to 9pt defeat in the Gap last weekend. 2 soft goals was the difference in the end, but the lads just never got going in the second half and rued several chances to build on their 6pt to 1-2 half time lead. The loss was definitely disappointing but probably worst of all was another addition to our now ridiculous injury list. Hopefully Glenn will be back in action shortly and the injury looked worse than what it actually is. The final league game of the year is away to Valleymount next Sunday morning. With only a few weeks to our championship opener against league promoted Coolkenno, a win would certainly be welcome and a bit of momentum into the game. It won't be easy however and will require all hands to the deck. All support appreciated. Finally, there was no lotto jackpot winner from 1,7,10,27. Match three winners were Kieran Whelan, Ryan and Tara Leeson, and Denis Keogh.
