Seniors – The seniors finished off the last game of the league with a hard-earned victory over Baltinglass on 9 Jun in a match that had no further advantage to either side. The match was still played with championship tempo. At half time we led 7pts to 0.3 and were well worth the advantage. But in the second half Balto came at us and got the first few scores to cause some concern.  We had a converted penalty, and this put us back in control. Temperatures rose and the game was stopped by the ref to calm down the situation in which K. J. Rogers had to go to hospital with a serious mouth injury. Balto were down to 14 men and we held out to win by 1.08 to 1.07. Scorers: P. McLoughlin 1pt, E. Boylan 4pts. D. Boothman 1pt. S. Byrne 1pt. S. Carroll 1.01.(penalty). Wishing Kevin John a speedy recovery.

U14 girls Feile –Our U14 Girls are heading West for Feile Peil na nOg from 28-30 Jun. One of three clubs representing Wicklow our girls are very excited. We will be hosted by Naomh Mhuire Oranmore in Galway. Anyone that knows about Feile will be aware there’s a huge cost involved in sending teams and our girls have done up (with a little help!) a wonderful letter seeking the support and sponsorship of local or any businesses willing to contribute. Instead of targeting one business for a big amount we appeal for just €100 per business to sponsor one of our players. Being affordable, in supporting our young girls you will get full recognition for the sponsorship with our player profiles including your business name/logo and acknowledgement on all our networks (social media etc). We are extremely grateful for all sponsorship received so far. If any other businesses are in a position to contribute, please contact any of the management. Jess 0868602022 and Kim 0852079643. We are very much looking forward to the build up to one of the most memorable weekends in the Gaelic football calendar. All the girls profiles are on our Facebook page along with sponsors.

U14’s – Blue team at home v Baltinglass at 7.30pm on Tues 11 Jun TBC. U14 girls white away v Kilcoole on Thurs 13 Jun at 7.30pm.

U12 White – What a performance from the girls on the under 12 white team last Thursday night against AGB. A shaky start with only 12 players starting due to everyone getting lost but the girls really put on the pressure in the second half and were brilliant. The “never give up” attitude yet again comes through. From goals to full forward everyone put in a super shift. Some girls are only new to it and were super (Sarah x2, Alana). Well done girls. 21 players deserved POTM but we have to give it to Orlagh Murphy and Willow Pope. Well done kids.

U12 Blue - Miserable evening for the match on 4 June but our girls made it worthwhile with a 3-5 to 3-2 win away vs Tinahely. Conditions were tough and both teams fought hard, but our girls really battled in the 2nd half to get back in front and clinch the win!!! The whole team were superb and once again the never give up attitude shone through. Hard to pick POTM as always but Eilish and Niamh get it. Big shout also to Susie who stepped in as goalie and was super. Thanks to all the parents who travelled. We had super support from the stands.

U10’s – U10 girls took part in a charity blitz in Naas in aid of Barretstown on 2 June along with 32 other teams from around Leinster. Apart from their efforts on the pitch the girls put in a huge effort raising money with €1,023 raised by the Blesso girls.

U8’s- Another successful blitz for our U8 girls who played 3 brilliant matches in Laragh on Sat 8 Jun. Well done. Their confidence is growing with every game. Teamwork at its best. Proud coaches!! Go Blesso!

Juveniles

U17’s – Away v Tinahely on Mon 10 Jun at 7.15pm.

U15's – At home v Aughrim on Wed 12 Jun at 7.15pm.

U13’s – On Tues 4 Jun we had our Div 3 game v Michael Dwyers called off due to pitches been closed at home and no away venue available either to play. Div 1 game was also to be at home but we played away in Donard due to home pitches closed. 15 players travelled and worked hard throughout game particularly tackling when not in possession. We missed a few great scoring opportunities in first half and in fairness St Nick's converted theirs. Second half we played much better and put away some great scores. We came up short losing 3.07 to 2.05 but valiant effort by all players on a bad weather night on a wet pitch. Well done lads.

U11’s – U11 boys Blue at home v Eire Og on Wed 12 Jun at 7.15pm. U11 White vs Eire Og away on Wed 12 Jun at 7.15pm.  NKL U11’s at home v Ardclough on Sat 15 Jun at 4.30pm.

U10’s – U10’s continued their great form with a big win away to Eadestown on Sat 8 Jun. The lads played very well throughout with a special mention for their passing and decision making and the usual high work rate and tackling they produced again. Each player was excellent on the day but 2 who really stood out were James Mc Carney and Oisin Kelly. The lads look forward to Wed nights U11 game away to Eire Og.

U9’s –Next up is away v Naas pm Sat 15 Jun at 3.30pm.

U7’s - We played Caragh at home on Sat 7 Jun in NKL and had a comfortable win. A great team performance by the lads. Thanks to all the parents for their support and to Alan Ellis for doing ref. U7’s away v Carbury on Sat 15 Jun at 2.30pm.

They beat Courcey Rovers 2-6 to 0-4, then Aodh Rua 6-11 to 1-1. Next was Sliabh Rua 2-7 to 0-7. Quarter Final was v Ballinhassig. Well done to the players, coaches, parents and supporters who travelled. What great memories for our 3 lads – Finn Behan, Brian Richardson and Thomas Walsh.
