Rathnew club notes

Rathnew Gaa 1885 is the clubs one and only official Facebook page. Any other page with our name has nothing to do with our club is not run by anyone in our club.

 

With the season started for all teams any club gear can be bought on the Rathnew shop on the O'Neill's website or just follow the link on our Facebook page. 

 

There was no winner of the lotto jackpot on the 28th of April. Numbers 6, 12, 13, 14. We had one match 3. Angela Furlong c/o James Stafford. At the time of writing the jackpot stands at €10,600. Get your tickets from Doyle's, The Arches, The Village Inn, Rockies, Healy's Mini Market, View hair & beauty, Malone's, Dowling's Butchers and Centra every Friday and Saturday evening from 5.30pm. Thanks to everyone who supports our lotto. 

 

Membership is now well over due. It is vital that all adult and juveniles pay their membership or they are not covered if injured. If no effort is made to pay then they will be unable to train or play. Contact the team coaches for membership details.

 

The 2019 Kellogg's cul camp dates have been released. Rathnew will be hosting it the week starting the 12th of August. It's always a brilliant week for the kids so book early on kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie or follow the link on our Facebook page.

 

The nursery is on every Saturday morning at 11.15. It's for all kids aged 3 upwards and is always great fun. Contact James Stafford 0833193238 for more details.

 

The annual Kevin Gill golf classic is on in Wicklow golf club on Saturday the 18th May. It's a two person team €40 per person with BBQ on the 10th which is kindly sponsored by Healy's Mini Market. Contact Peter Dignam 0879882648 or Clifford Murphy 0868877794 for tee times from 12.10pm onwards. Prize giving will take place in Doyle's later that night. 

 

Good luck to both the county senior football team who play Kildare on Saturday in the Leinster championship in Carlow and senior hurling team who play Donegal on Sunday in the Christy Ring cup. Well done to the junior B team who beat Newcastle away in the league, next up is Kilcoole at home on Thursday evening at 7.30. The intermediates also play Kilcoole at home on Friday evening in the league with a 7.30 start. The senior team play Tinahely away in the league on Wednesday 7.30 start. The under 15s play St Nickolas on Thursday evening at home with a 7.15 start. The minors are away to Blessington on Monday 7.15 throw in. The under 14 girls team had a great win against AGB on Thursday.
