Congratulations to Senior County Footballer of the Year Dean Healy and Senior Club Footballer of the Year Stephen Duffy, who will receive their awards at the Garden County Award Night on Saturday 19th January 2019 in The Arklow Bay Hotel.

St Patrick's GAA club hats are now available in Fitzpatrick's Bar Wicklow for only €10

 

Best wishes to James Kelly as manager of the Wicklow Ladies Intermediate team. James, a native of Ballinakill in Laois, will be joined by fellow selectors Emer Miley and our own Mick Kavanagh and Shay Dunne for the 2019 season.

 

 

St Patrick’s GAA held the 2018 Annual General Meeting in the Clubhouse on Thursday November 29th at 8pm. We wish the incoming committee the best of luck for 2019:

Chairman John Gill, Vice Chairperson Tara Gorman, Secretary Michael Murphy, Treasurer James Phelan, Registrar Eddie Leonard, Adult Football Gary Duffy, Juvenile section Alan Lawlor, Children’s Officer Carmel Earls and Pro John Smith

Individuals interested in managing adult playing teams for 2019 should submit their name and management team proposals to the Secretary. Management teams will be appointed by the Executive Committee.

 

St Patrick's Juvenile section held their AGM on Thursday 22nd November at 8pm in St Patrick's GAA Club House. Alan Lawlor opened the meeting. There was a frank and open discussion in respect of all age groups from Nursery to U17’s. The following officers were returned for ratification to the club executive: Chairperson: Alan Lawlor, Secretary: Brian Gleeson, Treasurer: Brian Finnegan, Football Officer: Daragh McEvoy, Hurling Officer: Paddy Culleton and Committee Member: Gerry Phelan

 

St Patrick's Ladies section held their AGM on Tuesday 27th November at 7pm in St Patrick's GAA Club House.  The following officers were returned for ratification to the club executive: Ladies Committee: Chairperson Siobhan Delahunt, Vice Chairperson Robert Hollingsworth, Secretary Siobhan Marah, Treasurer Lee Watters, Registrar Sarah Delahunt, PRO Patrice Evans and Aimi Healy, Players Representative Niamh McGettigan, Committee members Aine Fitzpatrick, Denise Cahill, Emma Czwalina , Ciara Ffrench , Leona Franey, Lorraine O’Reilly

 

After the end of a successful season for the senior football team, the players and management would like to take the opportunity to thank their sponsors for their support and generosity during the year.  It was very much appreciated and helped play a part in the team winning both the championship and league cup.  So a big thank you to the following:

Our sincere condolences to the family of Hannah Carton (née Vickers), Wicklow Town. 27th December 2018, peacefully at St. Vincent's University Hospital. Dearly loved mother of the late Richard. Sadly missed by her loving son John, her adored grandchildren and great grandchildren, daughters in law Kathleen and Colette, brothers Jim, John, Paddy and Denis, sisters May, Vera, Bernadette and Rita, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Our sincere condolences to the family of Annie (Nancy) O’Neill (née Breen) of St Kevin’s Terrace, Wicklow Town who passed away 21st December 2018 in her 87th year, peacefully at St Vincent’s University Hospital. Beloved wife of the late John and dearly loved mother of John, James, Mary, Anthony, Roisin, Michael, Stephen, Martin, Kevin and Tina. She will be remembered with love by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Our sincere condolences to the family of Mary Jameson née Vickers of Rathnew who passed away so very peacefully on 21st December 2018 with her family at her side. Predeceased by her parents Mick and Betty and her brother Martin. Loving wife and best friend of Kilian and much loved mother of Tara, Tanya and Kilian. She will be sadly missed by her adored grandchildren Ellie, Noah, Saoirse, Ronan, Will, Kate and Ed, sisters, brothers, mother-in-law Kitty, sons-in-law Niall and Robert, daughter-in-law Carol, aunts and uncles especially Nancy and Paddy, extended family and friends
