Cushe steps down
July 17, 2002
Wexford selector Ger Cushe has stepped down in the wake of last Sunday's All-Ireland hurling qualifier defeat to Clare.
The 1996 All-Ireland winning full back held the position for two years and it remains to be seen if manager Tony Dempsey will also follow suit.
"I will make no rash decisions," Dempsey said.
"I will take time out, consider the workload involved, and this coupled with my new job as a TD will be all taken into account," he added.
It is understood that the third member of the Wexford backroom team, Davy Morris, is keen to stay on for another year.
