Former Wexford footballer Niall Murphy's 12-year inter-county career was recognised at last weekend's club championship match.

The Bannow-Ballymitty club made 115 appearances for the Model County during a career that spanned from 2000 until his retirement at the end of last year.

Murphy lined out for his club against St James in the IFC opening round, which Bannow-Ballymitty won and afterwards the long serving defender was the recipient of a scroll from County chairman Diarmuid Devereux. Tweet
