Wexford's Aindreas Doyle puts pressure on Westmeath's Paul Sharry during the NFL Div 3 clash at Cusack Park Mullingar.
County footballer Aindreas Doyle is one of many unimpressed by Wexford's proposed new jersey.
The retro shirt was leaked on the internet this week and Doyle didn't mince his words as he tweeted: (@ aindreasdoyle): "It's absolutely sick. We should move forward not live in the past".
His Model County colleague Éanna Martin (@ eanna_1) doesn't agree: "New Wexford Jersey looks class if you ask me".
Fans seem to be agreeing with Doyle, with the reaction quite unfavourable... "The new Wexford jersey is rotten," tweeted Dara R y a n (@ dararyan_), while Pamela Warren (@ mightykickass) added: "The state of the new Wexford jersey, talk about living in the past".
Shane Pollard (@ Shanepollard) let rip with "That new Wexford jersey is disgusting", and Lisa Ryan (@ Itsryantime) was in agreement: "Jesus that's awful, Poor Wexford".
But some seem to like the new retro design. "Nothing wrong with going back to basics. Far superior to some of the rubbish we have seen in recent years," tweeted E Mac (@ fissureseal), while Bobby Clancy (@ BBC1985) concurred: "I love the new Wexford jersey its purple and gold that's all that matters, the boys on Vinegar Hill didn't have jerseys #upwexford".
