Rebels pledge approval

April 09, 2009
Cork are ready to vote in favour of retaining the experimental disciplinary rules at next week's Congress. Rules Task Force chairman Liam O'Neill made a presentation to Rebel County chiefs on Tuesday night and it is understood that - though no official comment has been made - Cork County Board will instruct its delegates to voted in favour of the controversial rules. Meath and Down have also decided to vote in favour of the permanent introduction of the rules, as have Dublin, Mayo, Sligo, Kildare, Longford and Wexford. Kerry, Kilkenny and Tipperary are on the fence at present, while Tyrone, Monaghan and Donegal are known to be vehemently opposed to the proposed new regulations.
