Championship vs Castledaly
We made the short trip to Tang on Saturday last to take on Castledaly in the first round of this years SFC, conditions on the day were perfect for a game of football and we were all treated to a great game. Our lads performed very well taking the lead early on and only sacrificed it once when Castledaly broke through for a goal but our lads levelled within a couple of mins and then never lost the lead again throughout. We went in at half time leading by 4 and expecting a strong beginning to the second half from our opposition and that's exactly what we got but some great defending by our lads meant Castledaly weren't going to get any easy scores on the day. Once we had regathered our composure the lads were able to push on and regain control of the game running out deserving winners by 1-14 to 1-9. We had strong performances throughout on the day with everyone on the pitch playing their part to get the win.
