Lotto
Last week's draw was held in Brennan's Bar and the numbers drawn were 1, 6, 9 and 26. There was no jackpot winner but Gerry Whelan and Seamus McLoughlin matched three numbers. The promoters prize was won by Ciarán Kirby. Next week's jackpot will be €7,900 and the draw will be held in The Drake Inn.

Condolences
It was with great sadness and regret that we heard of the sudden passing of Pat Carey, Gneevebeg, Ballinagore last weekend. Pat was well known in traditional music circles, being a member of Castletown Geoghegan Comhaltas, and he was a regular with his fiddle and repertoire of songs at the monthly sessions. He was also widely known for his annual threshing demonstration on his farm in Ballinagore, which inevitably ended in music, song and dance, at Pat's old style thatched cottage. A gentleman to all who knew him, he will be sadly missed by his family and myriad of friends. Tweet
