Ballinagore's Big Day Out
This years installment will take place in Páirc an Bhodhráin on Sunday, 26th May. It promises to be another great family day with races, Gaelic games, Barbecue and loads more. All of the fun will take place from 2pm to 5pm and all are welcome.
Under 16 League
The Under 16's suffered a two point defeat to Rosemount in their latest league outing last Monday evening. The team were competitive throughout and are showing great signs of improvement. They have another match this week versus Killucan and details will appear here next week. Team: Paul O'Sullivan, Joseph Fagan, Eoin Mullarkey, David Boyne, Brendan Heeney, Pauric Kincaid, Shane Meehan, James Murphy, Conor Kane, Michael Creegan, Brian Pidgeon, Naoise McKenna, Cathal Clarke, Ben Glennon, Cormac Deegan. Final Score: 1-10 to 3-2 in favour of Rosemount.
Lotto
The numbers drawn this week were 3, 4, 10 and 17. There was no jackpot winner and no-one matched three numbers. Next weeks jackpot will be €7,580. The lotto is our main fundraiser and we would encourage everyone to support it.
Ballinagore Rounders
Rounders training continues every Wednesday at 8pm and Sunday at 7pm and all are welcome. Our next fixture is against Erne Eagles from Mullahoran Co. Cavan and will be organised in the next couple of weeks.
Condolences
It was with great sadness and regret that we heard of the sudden passing of Pat Carey, Gneevebeg, Ballinagore last weekend. Pat was well known in traditional music circles, being a member of Castletown Geoghegan Comhaltas, and he was a regular with his fiddle and repertoire of songs at the monthly sessions. He was also widely known for his annual threshing demonstration on his farm in Ballinagore, which inevitably ended in music, song and dance, at Pat's old style thatched cottage. A gentleman to all who knew him, he will be sadly missed by his family and myriad of friends.
