Westmeath minor manager Tom Carr knows that his charges face a tough test against Wicklow.

Confidence was restored to the side following the extra time win over Carlow last week and now the Midlanders take on Wicklow in their own backyard.

And Carr acknowledged to the Westmeath Independent the fact that playing in Aughrim was not the easiest of venues to get a victory.

"Going down to Wicklow will be a different ball game," stressed Carr. "We all know about the battle of Aughrim and they'll be waiting for us." Tweet
