At a recent county board meeting, it was revealed that the St Paul's and Delvin clubs would be amalgamating at underage level.

The clubs have agreed to join forces from under-12 to minor level after both found that they would be struggling to field at these grades in 2012.

The amalgamation is just another sign of how rural clubs are struggling at the moment and fears for the future of the likes of these clubs are intensifying. Tweet
