The Gaels were continued their winning ways with fully merited five point victory over Cullion played in Cullion on May 5th last. Team; Ross Craig, Eamonn Potter, Shane Reilly, Alan Fitzsimons, Brendan Doyle, Paddy Fleming, Gary Kelly, Francis Mcermott, David Fitzsimons, Peter McGuigan, Darragh McCormack, Fergal Tiernan, Eddie Boylan, Damien Conaty and Philip Reilly. Training is ongoing for our fist round senior championship match against Castleton-geoghegan.
Sympathies
The club tenders it's deepest sympathies to the Weldon family, Gillardstown ,the McCormack families, Delvin, McGrath family, Delvin, Shaw family, Collinstown on recent family bereavements. May the deceased rest in peace.
Lotto
A hurling and camogie club lotto was held in 'The Maypole Bar' Collinstown on Monday April 30th last for a jackpot of 4,500 euro. This was not won on draw night but we did have one lucky 'match 3 winner(150 euro) and he was; Andrew Cosgrave, Cummerstown, Collinstown. Numbers drawn were; 5,12,16,30. Our next draw for a new jackpot of 4,600 will take place in the lough lene inn on Sunday May 12th for a new jackpot of 4,600. Your ongoing support is much appreciated by the club.
Bingo
Weekly bingo sessions continue on Tuesday nights in Collinstown Hall. The jackpot is now 17,200 euro in forty five calls or less. The club wishes to thank all our loyal supporters and helpers. All proceeds go towards the upkeep of the club.
Membership and Lotto subs
Membership fees (adult 20 euro, juvenile 10 euro and social 15) are now due as are our yearly lotto subscription (100 euro). These fees can be paid to Patrick Keane, Sean Carr or Eamonn Potter as soon as possible.
Juvenile Affairs
Our U/12s had a good wins over neighbours Castlepollard and Castetown Geoghegan and they continue to make steady progress. Our U/16s continued on their recent run of good form with a fully merited 3-6 to 0-7 victory over Brownstown in a league fixture played in Collinstown on April 23rd last. The Gaels team lined out as follows; Michael Daly, Darragh Quamar, Alan Jennings, Conor Lynch, Ciaran Lynch, Jack Coyle, Niall Fitzpatrick, Daire Daly, Ben Oelke, Lee Craig, Pauric Grace, Mark McCormck, Marcus Kennedy, Nathan Clarke, Jordy Williams. Sub used; Stephen Wheatley The gaels goals came from Jordy Williams(2) and Pauric Grace. Our U/16 league match against liver Plunkett's due to be played in Collinstown on April 31st last did not take place as the opposition could not field. Our U/8s took part in a blitz in Archerstown recently and they too continue to make good progress. Our minors may not now be in action until after exam time. Players will, however, be kept informed as more information becomes available.
