U12 league Phase 2
The U12s travelled to Tyrrellspass for a local derby on Wednesday 25th August defending a 100% record. As always, form doesn't count for anything when local pride is at stake. Both teams were short a couple of players but this didn't detract from the game. Tyrrellspass were first on the scoreboard with a point after a longish period of play in which neither team could make much inroads. Then St Marys found their range and knocked over 11 points in a row. Tyrrellspass nicked another point before half-time to leave the score 11 points to 2 points in favour of St Marys.
With such a good lead, St Marys eased up in the second half and a much more even game was the result. However St Marys shaded the half, a well taken goal from Ned Cully being the decisive score.
Again this was a great performance from St Marys  who are now in a very strong position in the league. With 3 games to go their destiny is in their own hands.
Final score: St Marys 1-17, Tyrrellspass 0-8.
Team;Cormac Dunne Aidan Robinson, Matthew Bradley, Ned Cully(1-1), Jordan Ajani, Mark Hyland, Sean Downey, Francis Duffy(0-4), Sean Lyster(0-2), Adam Bradley, Eoin Fallon(0-3), Jack Hall(0-2), Pauli Carpenter(0-3), Matthew Rowden(0-2), Eddie Whelehan, Gerry Byrne, Ryan Egan, Enda Cully, Cian Gahan, Barra Kinsella.

U14 League Championship
St Marys U14s welcomed Garrycastle to Rochfortbridge on Friday 27th August to play the second round of the Championship. Following a nightmarish performance and result in their first game, this was a match St Marys could ill-afford to lose. A very even first half was notable for the work-rate displayed by St Marys. They contested every ball with vigour and played with unified purpose. Despite their great showing, there were only a couple of scores in it at the break, with St Marys holding a slight advantage.
A period of dominance from St Marys for the first 15 minutes of the second half yielded a match winning haul of scores for the home team. The last quarter was even as St Marys took their foot off the pedal and allowed Garrycastle a foothold back in the game. However the damage had been done and St Marys had taken the first step back into contention in the championship. More of this kind of effort will be required in the coming weeks.
Team; Matthew Bradley, Ryan Delaney, Ryan Gavin, Hugh Lyster, Saya Nxumalo, Peter Lalor, Sean Lyster, Brandon Darcy, Adam Kavanagh, Cathal Moran, Josh Byrne, Aaron Henry, Sam Plant, Eoghan O'Malley, Eoin Fallon, Francis Duffy, Andrew Bollard, Sean Downey, Sean Duigenan, Jude Keegan.

U-10
St Marys U-10 team travelled to Multyfarnham to compete in a Blitz last Saturday 28th August . Our first game against the hosts was a great game with the Bridge losing by just one score after a great second half comeback. Our second game against Tyrrellspass was another tight game, but thankfully we won this game by a single point despite missing several good chances. The final game against Ballynacaragy saw a lot of tired players just fail to win in another extremely close game. Despite laying siege to the Bal goal in the second half we just came up short losing by 2 scores to 1. The players were then presented with medals and refreshments by our excellent hosts after the game.
