Senior Championship

We bowed out of the championship after being comprehensively beaten by reigning county champions, Clonkill in a wet Cusack Park on Sunday last. The winners were in control from the very start and the game was effectively over as a contest at half time. The lads fought gallantly to the end as they have done in every game, which is why we found ourselves in a quarter final for the first time in our history, following three wins in a row in our group. We now face into a play-off with Castlepollard to determine if we will be playing Senior or Senior B hurling in 2020.

Lotto

Results for latest draw; Jackpot €5050, Numbers drawn; 4,13,19,25. No winner, prize winners; Ciara Orme, Maurice Casey, Brian/Scott/Ross.

St.Vincents

The underage amalgamation with Ringtown had a good week, the minors and under 14s won their respective semi-finals. The minors beat Clann na Gael after a good game while the under 14s recorded a comprehensive victory over Delvin. We wish them the best of luck in the finals.

Westmeath Camogie

Congratulations to the Westmeath camogie panel and backroom team on the brilliant victory in the All-Ireland Intermediate final. Crookedwood camogie players Muireann and Roisin Scally were part of the panel. Well done to all.

Condolences

We offer our deepest sympathies to the O’Mara family, on the passing of Larry’s brother, Anton in the UK recently.
