Rosemount club notes

September 17, 2018

Gaa: We made our way to Cusack Park last Sunday evening to take on Mullingar Shamrocks. The stakes were high as both sides requires a win to progress. Playing against the breeze in the first half Mullingar actually started strongest. We were struggling to get the bell forward, but as the first half went on we began working the ball and creating good scoring chances. Scores from Deccie Mullen and Sean Pettit kept up in the game , but Mullingar kicked ahead to lead by 4 points at the break. The second half was all to play for, our lads had to come out and go for  it . We kept plugging away , but were always chasing the game. Mullingar in the end hung on to win by two points on a score of 0.11 to 0.09.

Walking track lights in the park are now off for the summer months. Only those with membership paid are permitted and insured to use the walking track.
