IFC

On Friday last we played the fourth round of the IFC in Ballynacargy against a strong Miltown side, where we rose to the challenge and came out on top collecting our two points for the league table. Impressive performances from Johnny Bermingham, Ciaran O Brien and super sub Liam Cassidy secured this win to leave us still within a chance of reaching a quarter final place.

At half time the lads were two points behind heading into a fresh 30 minutes, where they turned things around when Ciaran O Brien managed to get his fist to the oncoming play and find the back of the net in what was to be the first of many excellent scores. Neal Kirby, David Lynch and Liam Cassidy added to the scoreboard in the concluding minutes of the game. Final score: Malachys 2-11 to Miltown 1-08. Team: D.Sheehan, J.Gallagher, K.Glennon, E.Quinn, L.Varly, A.Clarke, J.Clarke, S.Clavin, J.Bermingham, D.Lynch, N.Kirby, D.Ruane, C.O’Brien, A.Mangan, D.McDermott. Subs used: L.Cassidy and P.Kane.

Big thank you to Ballynacargy GAA who hosted us on Friday night. Their hospitality shown was greatly appreciated.
