Division 3

On Sunday morning our seniors made the short journey to Ballinagore to take on our neighbours in Division 3 of the ACL. In damp conditions it was the home side who held sway in the first half and were well worth their eight- point advantage at half time. It was only in the final quarter that our lads upped their game and matched our opponent's intensity and we gradually chipped away at their big lead. The introduction of Ronan Whelan proved decisive as he caused havoc in the Ballinagore rear-guard and notched a goal and two points in the process which drew us level going into injury time before the impressive Ciaran O'Brien fired over the winning point. Well done to all the lads who made themselves available as we were struggling to get a side together due to lads on county panels and a long injury list. A special mention to two of the elder players, Joe Clarke (who had an outstanding game) and Ronan Whelan who turned the game when introduced, club spirit at its best.

Panel, Robert Burge, John Gallagher, Kieran Glennon, Eamonn Og Clarke, Stephen Clarke, Dean McDermott(0-1,f), Eoin Quinn, David Lynch(0-1), Johnny Bermingham, Connor Lynch, Joe Clarke, Ciaran O'Brien(0-2), Alan Kincaid(0-1), James Murphy(0-1), Neal Kirby(0-1,f)Paul Newman, Ronan Whelan(1-02), Paul O'Sullivan, Danny Kiernan, Liam Cassidy(inj), Sean Whelan(inj), Adam Gavigan(inj).
