Scór Na nÓg Finals
The finals took place in Ballymore Community Centre last Sunday afternoon before a great crowd. Ballinagore were represented in four competitions namely: Solo Singing - Jemma Seery; Recitation - Shane King; Instrumental Music - Aishling Daly, Emma O'Brien, Ellen Daly, Anne Reynolds, Sean Macken, Rose Macken; Ballad Group - Aishling Daly, Jemma Seery, Mary Reynolds, Niall Claffey and Emer Claffey. All four acts gave great entertainment once again and the improvement from the semi finals is testament to the hard work put in by competitors and mentors alike. Ballinagore came home with two county titles on the night in Solo Singing and Recitation. Jemma Seery gave a wonderful rendition of 'Craigie Hills' to take the Solo Singing medal while Shane King had the audience tittering with laughter as he won the Recitation and the John Cowley Perpetual Trophy. We wish all of the county winners the very best of luck in the Leinster semi finals. Thanks to all involved for all of their hard work over the last while and thanks to Ballymore and the Westmeath Scór committee for hosting such a great event.
