Due to St Loman's participation in the Leinster club senior football championship final on Sunday, December 10th, the Westmeath GAA convention has moved dates.
Originally the annual convention was due to take place in Tyrrellspass next Sunday, but following discussions at county board level, it has been decided to move the convention to the following Saturday (December 16th).
The venue will still be Tyrrellspass and proceedings will begin at 5pm. There have been a number of motions put forward for discussion, while under the five-year rule, there will be changes at the top table.
It is widely expected that Brownstown clubman and current county board vice-chairman Billy Foley will be installed as chairman in place of Sean Sheridan who steps down due to the five-year rule.
St Loman's take on Moorefield in the provincial decider at O'Moore Park, Portlaoise and a large following from the county are expected to show their support for the Lakepoint Park outfit.
