What a night Athlone GAA Club had again in the Sheraton Hotel with our second Lip Sync Battles. Expectations were very high after last years show and our performers rose to the challenge and produced an even better show that last year.
Thanks to all the Committee who put the whole event together and to everyone who helped out on the night. Thank you to Niamh Donohoe, choreographer, for all her hard work and patience in getting some willing and in cases very unwilling acts on to the stage. To our Judges on the night for helping make the show entertaining and witty Kevin Boxer Moran TD, Ray Collins, Mary O'Rourke and Fr. Declan Shannon and to our MC Conor Moore of Conor's Sketches who kept everyone entertained. Well done to the very deserving winners Jai Ho aka Andy Lynam, Daniel Lynam and Cathal Joyce. Thank you to all our Advertisers and Sponsors, without whom this show would not be possible. To Barry and staff in the Joke Shop, to the Sheraton Athlone Hotel and last but not least to Padraig Devaney (Devaney Photo Services) who captured the event once again for us on camera, see photos on Athlone GAA Official facebook page. Eire Óg Leinster Minor Club Semi-Final
Our minor lads take on Carlow champions Fenagh GFC in the semi-final of this tournament at 1pm on Sunday 3rd December at the Eire Óg club grounds in Carlow. We hope plenty of supporters will be able to make the journey to support the lads.
AGM of Athlone GAA Club takes place in the Clubhouse on Monday, 11th December at 8pm. All members are encouraged to attend.
