Joe Farrell It is with deep regret that we put on record the death of popular Bingo caller, Joe Farrell, Newport's Square, Waterford, who died on Friday, October 21. A gentleman in very sense of the word, Joe was exceptionally popular with the regular bingo goers to the sessions at both The Forum and Mount Sion. His remains were removed from Thompson's Funeral Home, Barrack Street on Sunday, October 23 to Ballybricken Church. Burial took place after the funeral Mass, which was celebrated on Tuesday, October 25, to St. Otteran's Cemetery. During his early days, Joe was a very good GAA referee. He was the father of well-known local comedian, Paul Farrell. To his family and friends, we offer our deepest and sincerest sympathy on their sad loss.
