Halley, Alan

May 31, 2004
The Late Alan Halley It is with deep regret and sadness that we write of the unexpected passing of Alan Halley, Doon, Ballinamult which occurred recently at the all too early age of twenty-six years. Son of Frank and Rose Halley, Alan was educated at Touraneena NS and Dungarvan Technical College. He was deeply interested in machinery and worked with his father in the agricultural contracting business. A quiet inoffensive young man, of happy disposition, Alan was very well known and was a great favourite with his many friends. In younger days he lined out with Naomh Bríd in both hurling and football and followed the fortunes of Sliabh gCua closely. He was also a fan of Manchester United. His untimely passing is deeply regretted and will be greatly mourned by his parents Frank and Rose, sister Edel, brother Dermot, grand-mother Margaret Halley; aunt, uncles and a wide circle of other relatives and friends.
