Ryan named fourth selector

The Waterford senior hurling management team for 2004 has been completed with the appointment Mount Sion's Kevin Ryan as the fourth selector for the new season ahead.
Speculation has been rife over the past few weeks as to who would be named in the vacant position, although another candidate reported to be offered the job had to turn it down due to work commitments.
Ryan has an excellent knowledge of the game in the county and has collected 5 senior hurling championship medals and a Munster club medal with during his career with Mount Sion.
The 39-year-old has a vast amount of managerial experience after leading a number of clubs to senior, Under-21 and minor championship success in recent years and will be a major asset to the management team.
The Deices will be eager to reclaim their Munster title that the lost to Cork in the Munster championship before being surprisingly beaten by a Wexford side, who went to push the Leesiders all the way.
