The Waterford senior football championship will take a back seat to hurling over the coming weeks.

With two rounds of the senior football championship played, there will be a rest week this weekend, before the start of the senior hurling campaign on Friday week.

Already in the football, Stradbally, Clashmore, Ballinacourty and The Nire look set to be in the quarterfinals after just two rounds.

They now must keep ticking over until the third round of games, which will not be played for a couple of months at least. Tweet
