County hurling star Jamie is bereaved

The death took place in the very early hours of last Sunday of Jim Nagle whose son James has been a regular member of the Waterford senior hurling panel for a number of years and has never let the side down when called upon by management and selectors. Although living in Abbeyside for some years Jim never lost his love of or for the Dungarvan club to which he has had a lifetime's attachment.

He was a quality hurler in his own day too and he gave years of outstanding services to the Old Boro club as indeed did his late father before him. He took very considerable pride in the hurling progress Jamie has made since he blossomed forth as a player of genuine class, while another son, Graham, is also a much more than an accomplished performer with a caman in his hand. Sadly Jim had not enjoyed the best of heath for a few years, but nonetheless his passing at the comparatively young age of sixty one is a grievous loss to his wife and family. To all then the sincere sympathy of the column is extended. Go ndeine Dia trocaire ar a anam .
