Waterford's Eoin McGrath
Eoin McGrath last night announced his retirement from intercounty hurling.
The 31-year-old came off the bench during the second half of Sunday's All-Ireland quarter-final defeat to Cork and has confirmed that that will be his last taste of intercounty action.
Younger brother of Deise legend and current selector Ken, McGrath says he will continue to represent his club Mount Sion.
Eoin McGrath made his senior championship debut for Waterford against Cork in May 2002 and was part of the Deise team that went on that year to win the Munster senior hurling championship title for the first time in 39 years.
In total, he won four Munster SHCs and a national hurling league medal in 2007.
