Fitzgerald, Sean

August 30, 2011
It is with deep sadness and regret we record the sudden death of Sean Fitzgerald, Knockalahara, Cappoquin, and formerly of 5 Kilrush Par, Dungarvan, which sad event occured recently.

Sean was a quiet, inoffensive young man who had a smile for everyone. Sean was born in 5 Kilrush Park on the 19th June 1984 on a beautiful sunny morning when Mother Nature smiled and the birds were singing. Sean was a shy, loving child. He attended his local CBS school and played hurling and football for his local GAA club, Dungarvan. But his first love was hunting and fishing in the company of his father and the countryside.

Sean left school to work with Pat and Pauline Ryan on their dairy farm at Laragh, Cappagh, where he was held in high esteem as a loyal, hard worker and knowledgeable stockman. In 2005 he bought a site and built a house at Knockalahara. He loved being there with his dogs and garden and being part of the community. After a short illness, which he faced with bravery and courage, Sean passed away on Saturday August 6, 2011 and will be deeply missed and greatly mourned by his loving parents Alan and Theresa, sister Genette, brothers Michael, Ivan and Neil, grandparents Liam and Christine, Callum and Lauren (nephew and niece), Pauline and Aoife, Alan and Donnacha, extended family and friends at home and overseas.
