McGrath's daughter making good recovery
August 19, 2010
Ken McGrath's three-year-old daughter, Ali, is recovering well at home after being bitten by a dog before Waterford's All-Ireland hurling semi-final loss to Tipperary last Sunday.
The Deise star, who wasn't told about the accident before the game at the request of his family, rushed from Croke Park to the little girl's bedside in Cork University Hospital after the final whistle. But after undergoing emergency surgery, she is recovering this week at home.
"The little girl is fine," Waterford chairman Tom Cunningham said.
"They kept her in for as long as they needed and all is well now."
