Cavan supporters Patrick Ryan and Tara McCormack are among a short-list of eight in a joint Super Valu and The Irish Sun competition to find Ireland's most dedicated GAA fan.

Ryan, from the Bailieborough club, and Drumalee's McCormack are joined in the final eight by Kildare's John Kelly, Brian Flynn from Meath, Thomas Harrison from Mayo, Galway's Darragh Frain, Thomas Keane from Waterford and Cork fan Hannah Looney.

Voting is now taking place at www.supervalu.ie, with the polls closing at midnight on Tuesday next (August 10th).

The competition carries a Eur15,000 prize for the club of the winning supporter. Tweet
