Promotion bid continues
February 18, 2010
Waterford footballers will be bidding for their third consecutive win in the league when they play Carlow at Dr Cullen Park on Saturday.
It has been a fantastic campaign so far for the Déise with two wins out of two and they go into this match full of confidence against a side that they have beaten in the corresponding fixture for the past two seasons.
However, Waterford manager John Owens will not be allowing his charges to take Carlow for granted as they too have made a decent start to the campaign.
Wayne Hennessy and Stephen Cunningham are expected to return from their holidays in time for the match, while Liam O'Lionain should be fit to start.
A win on Saturday would really leave Waterford in the shake up for a promotion place and they should travel home with two points in the bag.
