Mount Sion and Waterford star Ken McGrath is hopeful that his knee injury will have cleared up sufficiently to allow him to return to action next month.

The former All Star wasn't bargaining on the rehab being as long as has transpired so he's itching to return to action.

"It is a very slow process," McGrath admitted. "I would say I'm a month away from playing.

"If I don't play, it's not because I don't want to, it'll be because the knee won't let me play.

"I feel that two years has been ruined by injuries for me, but, at 32, I feel I have a bit left to go." Tweet
