Waterford GAA has issued a statement outlining the reasons why it is not in a position to host Tipperary and Cork in this year's Munster SHC.

It confirmed that Walsh Park would not be capable of stages the round-robin games "due to Health and Safety concerns and a reduction in capacity to approximately 8,000 because of the impending removal of the western boundary wall."

Instead, the beaten 2017 All-Ireland finalists will play Tipp at the Gaelic Grounds on June 3 and Cork on June 17 at Semple Stadium.
