This Sunday visit Gaelic Park and support ILR

Asking around the neighborhoods there are plenty of people who love a day out at Gaelic Park but "haven't been there in years." Next Sunday it is time to change all that.

On the Sunday, June 27th, New York GAA are hosting a Field Day with six games playing back to back.,including.Under 16 and under 18, and Ladies Final, and Hurling final. Mens Senior, What better was to enjoy a sunny June Sunday.

As an added bonus the New York GAA have very generously agreed that all proceeds from the day will go to supporting the Irish Lobby for Immigration Reform who continue to tirelessly fight for a comprehensive immigration reform.

Larry McCarthy, Chairman of the New York GAA said "Immigration reform is a very important issue to the New York GAA with a solution to the future flow of Irish emigrants coming into the United States the very existence of the New York GAA and others around the country is put into jeopardy."This is a wonderful opportunity for us at Gaelic park to show our support for those who have been working over the last four years to achieve immigration reform."What is key now is that we all support the work that is being done by the ILIR, help them in whatever way they need and come out and support them on the Sunday, June 27th, at Gaelic Park."The proceeds from the event will allow the ILIR to continue its work for Immigration Reform. Over the last months the ILIR has traveled to White House Washington, Texas, Florida, Colorado, Arizona, Boston, New Jersey, South Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Montana.

Members of the group have been traveling to each key state meeting with the Irish and Irish American impressing upon them importance of contacting their politicians and aiding with the fight for comprehensive immigration reform. Ciaran Staunton, President of the ILIR said "The GAA have been instrumental to our continued success around the country."The games will kick off at 10am on Sunday 27th June at the Gaelic Park, Bronx, New York, 10471.
