DONEGAL JUNIORS LAUNCH CAMPAIGN WITH 1-13 to 2-5 WIN

The Donegal NY Junior team began their drive back to the NY Final (narrowly lost to Rangers last year) with a solid display of controlling football against a determined St. Raymond's squad.

Jumping off to a 1-5 lead, Donegal held the Saints scoreless for 18 minutes. A fast flurry of five points made a game of the contest but Donegal still held more than a goal margin at the interval.

Although yielding two goals against plucky Clareman Tony McMahon, a back in the unfamiliar goalkeeper role, the Donegal defense rose to the challenge and took the tie to a satisfying 1-13 to 2-5 finish.

Donegal Manager and veteran NY star player Gary Dowd (Pettigo) will lead his gallant band onto the pitch next against NY Celtics June 4.
