History was made at last Sunday's New York GAA convention when Joan Henchy was elected as the board's first female chairperson.
The outgoing secretary, who is a native of Tarbert, Co. Kerry, took over the chair from Donegal man Laurence McGrath, who stepped down under the five-year rule.
The New York GAA board for 2020 is as follows:
Chairperson - Joan Henchy
Vice Chairman - Tom Fahy
Secretary - Liam Bermingham
Assistant Secretary - Tommy Kavanagh
Treasurer - Clare McCartney
Assistant Treasurer - John Phelan
Development Officer - Denis Twomney
Coaching Officer - Johnny McGeaney
Youth Officer - Seamus McNabb
