Leitrim hurlers will contest their second national final in less than 12 months when they take on Lancashire in the NHL Division 3B final.

Last weekend's comfortable win over Cavan saw the Connacht side ease into the final where they will take on the Exiles on Saturday March 24th.

Having reached last year's Lory Meagher Cup decider where they were beaten by Warwickshire, Leitrim manager Martin Cunniffe stated in the Leitrim Observer that they are hungry for silverware.

"We will be going all out the next day. There is no saying that we won't. We are going out to win the league," stressed Cunniffe. "They (Lancashire) were lucky the last day. I suppose we could have had a draw."

Cunniffe added that the squad have worked hard in recent weeks and are properly prepared for the final.

"The fact that we had to win the game against Cavan and we had to prepare diligently for it in the last couple of weeks put the lads in great shape."
