Trillick 2-9
Naomh Conaill 1-11

Trillick withstood a second-half rally from Naomh Conaill to book their place in the last four of the Ulster Club SFC at Ballybofey.

The Donegal champions suffered a serious set-back when county star Anthony Thompson was shown a red card in the 11th minute and Trillick made the most of their extra man to go in leading by six points (2-4 to 0-4) at the break.

First half goals from Niall Gormley and Daire Gallagher laid the foundations for Trillick's victory while Naomh Conaill's challenge was also undermined by the forced withdrawal of Dermot Molloy early on because of a foot injury.

To their credit, Naomh Conaill refused to throw in the towel and they were rewarded when Ciaran Thompson found the back of the Trillick net in the 37th minute.

With ten minutes to play, the sides were level - Trillick 2-7, Naomh Conaill 1-10 - but points from Lee Brennan (free) and Richard Donnelly edged the Mattie Donnelly captained outfit back in front.

Daragh Gallagher pulled back a point from the Glenties outfit but the same player missed a chance to equalise in the dying moments when his free went wide.
