Tyrone's Ryan McMenamin
Triple Tyrone All-Ireland winner Ryan McMenamin says he doesn't miss playing intercounty football.
The Dromore clubman retired last winter, having helped the Red Hands to Sam Maguire successes in 2003, '05 and '08 and he insists that he's had no problem coming to terms with his new circumstances.
"I knew at the start of last season that I wasn't going to come back," he tells The Irish Independent.
"Fitness-wise, I was beating some of the younger boys, so I was happy enough, but I knew myself when it came down to the game and the pace of games, inside a gym is a completely different story.
"I don't [miss it]. People ask me, but I only really miss the craic and the banter in the changing rooms. I thought that when I was watching the league final, I might miss it, but I didn't find that.
"I had 13 good years and you have to close the chapter at some time."
