A popular and well known figure in the Greencastle community, Eileen Carson sadly passed away on January 21, 2012 following a short illness. Her untimely death at the age of 53 shocked her family, friends and the wider community where she was highly regarded as hard working, caring and thoughtful.

Eileen began her working career at Tyrone Electrical Services, Omagh in 1976 and after six years moved to the local playgroup in the community centre. Eileen was instrumental in securing funding for the renovation of the Old School House which they moved into in January 2001. Her dedication and deep commitment to the children entrusted into her care, lead to numerous awards over the years.

Eileen's warm and generous nature symbolished her dedication to those she cared for in the local community. Eileen was a great support to her husband Noel in the family catering and Kleeneze home distribution business where they were awarded top prize holidays to Thailand and Australia for achieving excellent results for their motivation, teamwork and determination.

Eileen was a keen supporter of St Patrick's Football Club where she cheered on sons Conor and Mark. Her highlight and memory was when her sons were involved in winning the All Ireland Junior Football Championships Final in 2007.

Another proud moment for Eileen was when her eldest son Gavin graduated from University in Liverpool, attending the ceremony was her greatest honour.

Eileen leaves a devoted husband Noel of 28 years and loving sons Gavin, Conor and Mark, sisters Celia, Colette and Margaret; brother Michael and a host of family and friends who mourne her loss. She will be remembered for her beauty, grace, laughter and charm.
